New Iced Vovo's

Been working on a batch of Iced Vovo's (our small wave board model) they are now finally finished and Po and I  got to test them out this weekend....The boards are 5'4 x 19 3/4 x 2 1/8 and go great!  All the boards are made with polystyrene foam and CET epoxy resin, and weigh around 1.7kg, which is about  1kg lighter than a lightweight PU board. Chris Friend and the Iced Vovo

The Iced Vovo is our small wave board of choice. Usually ridden in waves up to around 4 feet. This board is a favourite of Blake Wilson and now Chris Friend in small junk waves. The board the boys have been riding is 5'4 x 19 3/4 x 2 1/4 and is a stringer less, Polystyrene/ Epoxy construction. We've been making a few of these lately and you'll see the boys on their own versions in the near future...then I can get mine back. The name 'Iced Vovo' came from a mate Marty, who saw one of the first ones we did which has a pink and white swirly tint on the bottom with a white deck.....and he goes "hey that board looks like an iced vovo" and the name has stuck....I like it!  DW

8'0 gun inspired by Gary 'Kong' Elkertons 80's Sunset gun

The original board went so well but was broken by Anthony King at macking Marooch a few years back, so we finally decided to make a new modern version. We pretty much used the identical bottom rocker and contours but increased the tail and nose widths slightly, we also used a rounded pin instead of a swallow and got rid of the channels. Thought we would get a test run Thursday morning with some Yasi swell but was smaller than predicted. Not to sure how comfortable I am owning an 8-0...I guess there's no excuses now, bring on the big stuff....I wonder what Mark Vissers' up to?
